Tamarind Pork Ribs
This week from our recipe roundups, we're sharing a delicious Tamarind Pork Ribs recipe. With only 4 simple ingredients, this one is pretty full-proof and tastes amazing!
Ingredients: 2 racks baby back ribs (5 1/4 pounds) 2 oz. Backwood Hickory Rub (available next door at The Spice & Tea Exchange) Stonewall Kitchen Boozy Bacon Barbecue Sauce (buy online or in-store) Tamarind Pulp (available at Amazon, Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s)
Instructions: 1. Preheat the oven to 275°. 2. Line a baking sheet with foil. Put the ribs on the baking sheet and season on both sides with Backwood Hickory Rub. 3. Bake the ribs, meaty side up, for 2 1/2 hours, or until tender. 4. Meanwhile, blend the Boozy Bacon Barbecue sauce & tamarind pulp until smooth. Increase the oven temperature to 450°. 5. Brush the ribs with the barbecue sauce. Roast the ribs, bony side up, for 10 minutes, until richly browned. Turn the ribs over, brush with more sauce and roast for 5 minutes, until browned. Brush the ribs with the remaining barbecue sauce and roast for 5 more minutes, until deeply browned and glossy. Transfer to a cutting board and let stand for 5 minutes. Cut the racks into ribs and serve!
