Wild Mushroom and Bacon Linguini

This creamy yet, not too heavy dish is a week night family favorite. Quick and easy to prepare it has a truly Gourmet taste. Using our Cheddar & Bacon Dip Mix. Serves 4.
- 1 pack Cheddar & Bacon Dip Mix
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- ½ cup shallots, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp garlic, minced
- 4 cups assorted wild mushroom, finely sliced
- ½ cup white wine
- 1 ½ cup cream
Heat butter and olive oil in a large saucepan. Add shallots, garlic and mushrooms and cook for 10 minutes over medium-low heat. Add wine and simmer for 4 minutes. Add cream and Gourmet du Village Cheddar and Bacon Dip Mix and simmer for another 5 minutes. Season sauce with salt and pepper to taste. Toss cooked pasta with sauce and serve with a sprinkling of parsley over top.
