Eighteen inches of solid maple, handcrafted by J.K. Adams in Vermont, which is why it has weight to it and an edge that isn't going to fuzz after a season. Nora Fleming's contribution is the stoneware mini attachment set into the wood, so a board that would otherwise be permanent picks up a seasonal note.
This is the piece in the collection that ages rather than wears out. Oil it a few times a year and it darkens into something better than it started. That makes it a real wedding gift — the kind that's still on the counter in fifteen years — and an easy one for the person who cooks seriously and has strong feelings about their tools.

Care
Hand wash only. Do not allow the wood to soak in water. Wash quickly in warm, soapy water and dry immediately. Do not place in the dishwasher or microwave. Avoid extreme temperatures. Oil frequently with mineral oil.
