Byers' Choice Cardinal Santa

DESCRIPTION
Santa on a snowy morning, carrying a big bag of birdseed out to fill the feeders for the cardinals who keep him company. It is a quieter Santa than most: no sleigh, no toy sack, just a man looking after the birds.
Cardinals carry a lot of meaning for many people, who take them as a sign that someone they have lost is near. That makes this a gentle gift for a first Christmas after a loss, and a natural one for anyone who keeps a feeder going all winter. His match is the Cardinal Mrs. Claus.
Why It Works
- Carries a bag of birdseed for his cardinal companions, a scene rather than a pose
- The cardinal's association with remembrance gives him meaning beyond decoration
- Pairs with the Cardinal Mrs. Claus
- Hand-painted clay face, made by hand in Pennsylvania
